This week in Science we have been exploring the circulatory system! To help see it in action, we all acted as blood cells travelling around the hall. Some of us acted as oxygenated blood travelling from the lungs, and some of us acted as deoxygenated blood travelling back towards the heart through a variety of blood vessels!

For history this week in Year 6, we studied the struggle that Saxon monks had to live through when Vikings first raided England in 793 AD. We wrote newspaper reports spreading the word of an attack on Lindisfarne, warning others about the inevitable threat of further Viking raids!

After getting used to our new surroundings in Year 6, we took part in some team-building activities in order to demonstrate our co-operative skills. One challenge required building skyscrapers out of just two pieces of paper! With great strategy and communication, we were able to surprise ourselves!

For the first science lesson of our new topic 'Animals Including Humans', we familiarised ourselves with the technical vocabulary by playing a game of 'Flip It!' After having the function read out to us, we had lots of fun guessing the parts of the body!
